That the Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee recommends to Council: That the Facility Accessibility Design Standards document be rescinded, and the Built Environment Accessible Design Standards document, attached to as Exhibit A to Report Number MAAC-26-009, be approved; and That Council delegate to the Director of Community Development, Wellbeing & IIDEA the authority to update the Built Environment Accessible Design Standards to ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 or i mprove the accessibility of City facilities or public space to persons with disabilities , with any updates reported to the Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee through quarterly Accessibility Office reporting , and with said authority to be added to By-Law Number 2025-157, Delegation of Authority By-Law, as part of future amendments.
