That the Planning Committee recommends to Council: That the Community Benefits Charge Strategy, prepared by Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. and dated September 20, 2022 (Exhibit A to Report Number PC-22- 057) be approved; and Planning Committee Meeting Number 22-2022 – Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Page 8 of 9 That the by-law attached to Report Number PC-22-057 as Exhibit B (A By-Law to Provide for the Payment of Community Benefits Charges Pursuant to Section 37 of the Planning Act) be presented to Council for all three readings; and That future development or redevelopment of the property municipally known as 40 Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard be exempt from the Community Benefits Charge By-Law in recognition of previous Council direction to enable the owner to undertake preservation and restoration of the former Prison for Women building.
