Planning Committee

That Councillor McLaren be elected as Chair of the Planning Committee.

That Councillor Oosterhof be elected as Vice-Chair of the Planning Committee.

That the agenda be amended to include the addendum, and as amended, be approved.

That the minutes of Planning Committee Meeting Number 24-2022, held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, be approved.

That the Planning Committee recommends to Council: That the application for administrative amendments to the Brownfields Community Improvement Plan (File Number D09-002-2022) submitted by the City of Kingston, be approved; and That By-Law Number 2018-13, “A By-Law to Adopt the Brownfields Community Improvement Plan”, as amended, be further amended, as per Exhibit A (Draft By-Law to Amend By-Law Number 2018-13) to Report Number PC-23-003, as further amended in Section 1 (a) a. to delete “December 31, 2045” and replace it with “December 31, 2041;” and That the amending by-law be presented to Council for all three readings.

That Exhibit A to Report PC-23-003 be amended in Section 1 (a) a. to delete “December 31, 2045” and replace it with “December 31, 2041” so that the paragraph reads as follows: a. The properties, in whole or in part, located at 51-57 Queen Street and 18 Queen Street and 282 Ontario Street may receive financial benefits for a maximum of ten years from the start of brownfield financial assistance or until December 31, 2041, whichever occurs sooner.

That the meeting of the Planning Committee adjourn at 7:52 p.m.
