That the agenda be approved.

That the minutes of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee Meeting Number 06-2022 held on Monday, October 17, 2022, be approved.

That the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee recommend to Council: That Council encourage the City Clerk to continue with its efforts to attract diverse voices for City of Kingston advisory committees, boards, and commissions in response to recommendation number 57 (Build Anti-Islamophobia Mayoral Advisory Circles/Councils) of the National Council of Canadian Muslims Policy Recommendation on Islamophobia; That Council direct Heritage Services to develop a “niche case” exhibit in City Hall that focuses on a community-identified aspect of the history of Canadian Muslims in the Kingston area for installation in 2024 and to consider the history and contributions of the local Muslim community in future museum exhibition and programming plans in response to recommendation number 59 (Celebrating the History of Canadian Muslims) of the National Council of Canadian Muslims Policy Recommendation on Islamophobia; Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee Meeting Number 01-2023 – Monday, December 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Page 5 of 6 That Council recognize October as Islamic Heritage Month going forward and direct the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Office to coordinate with Communications & Customer Experience and Special Events to organize programming and communication accordingly in response to recommendation number 59 (Celebrating the History of Canadian Muslims) of the National Council of Canadian Muslims Policy Recommendation on Islamophobia; and That Council dir
